Our Pastor

Pastor Rick Crook was born in Jacksonville, FL in November of 1962.  At age 10 his parents moved the family to Miami, FL.  There he grew up working along side his parents in the family-owned moving & storage business.  Pastor Rick graduated from North Miami Beach Sr. High School in June of 1980.  In the fall of 1980, Pastor Rick returned to Jacksonville to begin classes at Jacksonville University where he majored in music performance and music education.

While at J.U., Pastor Rick sensed God changing the direction of his life from a music career to a life of full-time ministry within the local church.  In January of 1985, having completed both his undergraduate degrees, Pastor Rick accepted the invitation to serve Calvary Assembly of God in Dade City, FL as youth pastor.  Five months later he and his fiancé, Sherree Raley were married.  Sherree’s caring disposition, accomplished musical abilities, and ministry calling made her an ideal ministry companion and partner.  Together they served the Dade City congregation until September of 1989 at which time they accepted the ministry call to serve on staff at Arlington Assembly of God.  In 1990, Pastor Rick and Sherree became the proud parents of Brandon – a happy, healthy, energetic baby boy.  In 1995 the family grew again with the arrival of Lindsay – a beautiful blond-haired blue-eyed baby girl.

During his tenure at Arlington Assembly, Pastor Rick has ministered in a variety of areas such as: youth ministry, music ministry, and numerous administrative functions.  In April of 1998, the congregation elected him to serve as Senior Pastor.  In recent years, Pastor Rick has earned his Masters in Ministry degree from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary and in 2006 he was elected to serve the Peninsular Florida Assembles of God as presbyter of the South Jacksonville area.

Pastor Rick’s great loves in life are his family, his congregation, preaching the Gospel, and bringing encouragement to others.

Teach me, O Lord, to follow your decrees; then I will keep them to the end.
